Simple Womans Daybook for April 13, 2013

FOR TODAY
April 23, 2013

Outside my window...
Its cloudy and grey, but there's lots of green too. The lawn is looking wonderful, the the buds on the flowering plum are starting to plump up. It won't be long before they open.

I am thinking...
about Cable. She had a rough weekend, poor thing. On Saturday we went over to Dan and Sue's for dinner. Of course, we took Cable so she could play with Tripper. They play very hard. In fact, I stay out of the way because they have knocked me down from banging into me while wrestling around. Anyway, they were rolling around on the lawn when Cable let out a loud yelp. I just figured Tripper had stepped on her foot and didn't think much about it. But when we got home that night, instead of laying down and conking out from exhaustion like she usually does after time spent with Tripper, she was restless and whiny. All day Sunday she was the same way. I could not figure out what she wanted. Then we went to bed and she got worse. Soon it became apparent to me that she was actually in pain. Quite a lot of it. She didn't sleep at all during the night. Then I realized she wasn't wagging her tail.

On Monday morning I took her to our vet. Her tail is badly sprained right at the base. It was pretty swollen yesterday, so they gave her a shot of an anti-inflammatory. Thankfully, nothing is broken or dislocated. So a few days of painkillers and she'll be back to herself. I feel so stupid for taking such a long time to realize she was in real distress.

She's doing much better this morning. She had a good nights sleep and woke up in a very good mood. She's even wagging her tail a bit.

I am thankful for...
Spring! Yay!

From the kitchen...
I'm not making this today, but I tried this recipe last week and it was absolutely scrumptious! So, here's a link to Bacon Wrapped Chicken. It is soooooooooooo good!

I am wearing...
jeans and a pale teal blouse with a lacy crocheted yoke. One of my new tops I recently acquired for spring.

I am creating...
a beaded wearable art piece. This months challenge in the Yahoo beading group is bead embroidery. Since I know the basics of bead embroidery already, and we are to challenge ourselves, I'm doing something larger using 3 cabs. I have worked on it for 2 days (yesterday I sat out on the deck in the sunshine and worked on it. 'Twas lovely.)

I am going...
to Rathdrum Knitalong later today. I will take my knitted black dress project I started for Ellie.

I am reading...
Tarzan the Magnificent by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

I am hearing...
a train that is going by on the tracks near our house.

Around the house...
a lot of cat toys. I wish I could train the boys to put them away when they are done.

One of my favorite things...
Cake. I made one over the weekend. It was chocolate. I decided to give the new Cool Whip frosting a try, and it was delicious. Better than anything I could have made myself.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Yarnies, knitting, beading...the usual.

Here is a picture for thought I am sharing...

While searching for another pic, I ran across this one. I miss Tommy.

A Very Sweet Gesture

Last month, when Tommy died, I posted the news in the Sighthound Splendor group on Ravelry. One of the Ravelry members, kerrylinnet, saw my post and asked if she could knit a pair of mittens for charity in Tommy's name. I think that is one of the sweetest things anyone has every asked me. Of course, I said yes. Recently she let me know that she finished them and posted them in her Ravelry notebook. I have her permission to share the picture with y'all here on my blog. Here is the pair of mens sized mittens knit in Tommy's honor and donated to the Global Knit organization.

Thank you so much for this kerrylinnet. You have touched my heart and honored my precious little boy in a beautiful way.

Ravelers are such wonderful people.

Tommy Martini Park

Something awful happened late last night. About half an hour before we were going to bed Tommy went outside to do his business. He came back in a couple minutes later and sat on the floor licking himself. He was sitting kind of weirdly, but I didn't think much of it. Then he got into his little bed and I covered him up with his blankie. A little later I told him it was bed time (he sleeps in my bed at night), but he couldn't get out of his bed. I picked him up and set him on the floor and he was clearly having some kind of weird seizure and in severe distress. He couldn't stand up at all. His whole body was almost paralyzed and he was in a lot of pain. We rushed him to the Emergency Animal Hospital.

The doctor thinks he had some kind of stroke or blood clot. (The only way to know for sure required an MRI, but the nearest vet who had one was a 2 hour drive away.) There was nothing they could do for him. He was suffering so much. I found myself making the horrible decision to have him euthanized.

Just like that. My happy bouncy little boy is gone! I can't believe it. I keep hoping I'll wake up and the nightmare will be over.

I love you so much Tommy. I will miss you forever.

Ramblings

I have an appointment with a Gynecologist for this afternoon and I'm extremely nervous. No, let me rephrase that. I'm scared to death. A Xanax sounds really good right now. I will refrain though. I'm afraid to take it under the circumstances.

My blood test results came in yesterday morning. There was a bit of a panic at my doctors office. It's never good when that happens. Yeah, I've definitely lost too much blood. Drug therapy is out apparently. I fail as a candidate for that. Rats.

Today was the soonest a Gyn could see me. I've been taking it easy. When I'm this anxious, though, I can't bead at all, and knitting is difficult. I have almost no ability to concentrate. My thoughts zip around like crazy. Reading a novel is helpful. It seems to stop the zipping and calms the mind down. I finished The Mote in Gods Eye  (it is every bit as good as I remembered) and now I'm reading a CSI novel, The Killing Jar. Pure entertainment. It's all I can handle.

I have added a couple inches to the sock. I'm thinking, though, that I need to do something really brainless cuz I'm tinking as much as I'm knitting on that sock. I'm going to start some plain vanilla mens sized mittens for Knit Wits. We are seriously in need of them and they make a good portable project. Maybe I'll do the hand part in seed stitch so I don't get too bored.

Firefox is my web browser of choice. For some reason, it has stopped working on my laptop. I spent most of yesterday trying to get it working again, including a complete uninstall and then install of the newest version, checking for disk errors, scanning for malware and viruses, and all manner of things. Sweet Hubby worked on it for a few more hours after he got home. He couldn't get it to work either. We don't know what is wrong. I worked fine on Monday morning and that afternoon it wasn't working anymore. There are days when I really really really really hate computers.

So now I'm using Internet Explorer, which I can't stand. My daughter says to try Google Chrome. She used to use Firefox, tried Chrome out of curiosity, and never went back. Maybe I'll do that. I hate to abandon Firefox cuz I've really loved it up until now. I'd much rather know what is wrong and fix it.

The weather has been unseasonably warm this whole month. It's giving my tomatoes half a chance of getting ripe before frosting. We did get a nice cool day of rain yesterday though. It cleaned a lot of the smoke and dust that is typical for this time of year out of the air. The air smells wonderful right now. It has that sweet spicy aroma of autumn.

Tilly the turkey seems to have taken permanent residence in our yard. There's a reason for that. About 3 weeks ago, after Sweet Hubby and daughters latest brew, they dumped the used grain into the brush in the back yard. Tilly has been eating it like crazy ever since. No, she is not drunk. There isn't much alcohol in that grain anymore. They made this brew of millet, which is sold as bird seed in the US. It tastes pretty darn good (the brew that is. I didn't try the grain). I can see why Tilly likes it.

She has been deliberately teasing Tommy. Even going so far as to stand under the open living room window and clucking to get his attention. She waits for him to come dashing out the doggy door and around to the front. Sometimes she runs, letting him chase her in circles. Eventually she leaps out of the circle, stops, and watches Tommy continue in a circle (he is not a smart dog). It will take a couple laps before he realizes she's stopped. I think she gets a kick out of making him run after her and then jumping up and flying into a tree. Silly dog, she has his number. She is extremely camera shy though. She sees it, she runs. She's providing us some very good entertainment, and getting Tommy to exersize. I see that as a good thing.

Along with the ripening of tomatoes, I'm getting Dahlia blooms that I would not normally get with the lengthening of this summer. I leave you with this pic I took over the weekend.

WIP Wednesday April 20, 2011

As promised, update pics of a couple knitting WIPs. The ones I'm currently paying the most attention to at the moment.

The second sock. I need to get this done before Friday. I will probably be staying up late to do so.

I will be glad when it's done. I'm tired of working on it.

Next, we have the sweater I'm finishing for Knitwits.

Having finally decided what to do with this headache, I've regained my impetus to finish it. As a reminder, this is what the sweater is supposed to look like. As you can see, to solve the problem of not having enough white to make the yoke and both sleeves, I decided to stripe the yoke and make one sleeve this lovely shade of wine red. I like it. Didn't think I would. I'm surprised. I am 12 rows into the second (wine) sleeve. This project is my 'social knitting' because the stitch pattern is simple enough I don't have to think too hard about it, therefore freeing up the brain to chat.

This last photo is just proof that Tommy gets absolutely no luvin' whatsoever in our house. No siree. We are above that sort of thing. (Um, wait....)

Tommy Dresses Up

I had to take some pictures of Tommy modeling some of his sweaters today. The folks with the chihuahua want to see what kind of dog sweaters I make. He was quite willing to pose for treats. Here's a few of the results. I made all these sweaters when I still had my shop, between 2002 and 2006.

This first one was made with Patons Canadiana Colors-a wonderful marled/variegated 100% acrylic that was discontinued right after I discovered it. (sigh)

Such a handsome boy. He's sporting his grey and brown variegated 100% acrylic sweater with brown trim. Both yarns are Patons Canadiana.

Hey! Gotta treat for me?

This is Tommy's dark charcoal grey heathered sweater made with Leader, which I think was a Phildar yarn, if I remember correctly. It's no longer available, which is a shame because it was a very nice yarn.

Ha ha! She said a funny!

I make this look good!

After taking the pictures I sat down to knit in the sun until the shade creeped across the deck to where I was sitting. Tommy settled down to snooze in the sun for a bit. He used a pile of pine needles for a pillow.

Shortly after I took that last picture a pack of coyotes showed up across the street and erupted into a storm of bone chilling, hair raising howling and yelping, which scared the bejeezers out of me, so I grabbed Tommy and went back in the house, where it's safe.  shudder!

It was supposed to be miserable and rainy all day, but we got nice weather instead. Hey! I could go for a whole week of that.

Mitten FO

For my first post of NaBloPoMo I have a finished knitting project.

Navy Childrens Mittens for Knitwits

Pattern: Basic Mitten Pattern by Ann Budd
Size:  Childs 4-6
Yarn: The mysterious yarn I made the Navy Textured Pullover with.
Needles: Addi Turbo size 6
Cast On:  October 21, 2010
Finished: October 29, 2010

Comments: Fairly simple pattern. Easy to follow if you're using double pointed needles. I used 2 circulars so I had to make adjustments.

Last night Tommy made good use of the couch. He enjoys his sleep so much.

He also manages to take up the whole couch even though he's a little guy. Daughter Ruth got squished into the corner.

Pepper Spray? I Want Some

I thought I'd address something that came up in the comments of my last post. About pepper spray and bears. Some are misunderstanding what I wrote.

I meant I was wondering if pepper spray would work to make a moose go away. Not a bear.

I am not having bear problems. If I had bear problems, the fix is easy. Call Idaho Fish and Game and they'll come right out, trap it, and haul it away far from humans. I know this because we've had bear problems in the past. This is how we solved the problem.

Pepper spray works on bears, by the way. Jack Hanna used it on a male Grizzly who charged at him recently. The bear ran away when that spray hit him. If it works on a male Grizzly ready to put another male in his place, it'll work on any bear.

Jack recommends that hikers have a can of pepper spray with them when hiking in the wilds. I'd never thought of pepper spray. It's good advice.

Our moose problem? Fish and Game refuses to come out and haul the moose away, or do anything at all. And they are a real problem for us. Imagine, if you will, at least a dozen of these big scary fearless things living in your back yard and you'll understand what we're up against, I hope.

Some years ago my husband was out in the front yard winding the garden hose on it's little hanger thingy. I was in the house at the time. I glanced out the window to see a very large moose standing right behind him. It was, in fact, sniffing him and he wasn't even aware it was there. It was a frightening thing to see. I slowly walked to the window, which was open thankfully, and whispered to Sweet Hubby to turn around. He's face to nose with a curious moose. If I had a can of pepper spray, I would have used it. As it was, he just stood still as a statue and eventually the moose lost interest and wandered away.

My husband is 6'5. That moose towered over him. They're BIG! Bigger than a horse.

And extremely unpredictable. I know I make jokes, and I take pictures of them, and I oh and ah the babies and I do think they're awesome and beautiful and it's exciting to see them, but Sweet Hubby and I have a very healthy fear and respect for these creatures. They are wild animals and very dangerous. We keep our distance. I have a telephoto lens on a darn good camera so I can take the pictures and remain safe.

In all honesty, I would rather not have these moose hanging around. I'd rather they were up in the mountains, away from here. I also know there isn't anything I can do about the situation right now. Until someone gets hurt, Fish and Game is not going to take this as a serious threat. I don't want me or someone in my family to be the one who gets hurt.

I need some way to protect myself, my fur kids, and my property. I can't use a real gun. It's seriously against the law to shoot a moose in these parts. Pepper spray sounds like a good idea to me. If it works on a grizzly, it will probably work on a moose.

This guy thinks he's my protector from moose.

Where does one get pepper spray anyway?

Have a good day.

Snail Fiddling is Not an Occupation I'd Be Proud Of

The title of todays entry is a quote from a blog I found this morning that is hilarious. Sleep Talking Man is about the things Karen Slavick's husband says when he's asleep. If you need a chuckle, I recommend a visit. (Be warned, some of his night time language is not G-rated.)

You know what's even funnier? I was reading the blog this morning. I looked up at the TV and there was the blog on Good Morning America, along with Karen and her husband. Talk about coincidences!

The new washing machine was delivered and installed. I haven't tried it yet. It was delivered when I wasn't home, so the daughter got to try it first. I'll be getting good use out of it today.

I have finished the first sleeve of the baby cardigan.

No one showed up for my knitting class so I worked on it until it was done. Then I went grocery shopping at Walmart.

I went there because there was a particular item I wanted. Something my local grocery store just doesn't carry. A little piece of heaven that came out last month but I hadn't got around to getting it.

I picked up Susan Boyle's first CD, I Dreamed a Dream. It is awesome. Her voice does something to me. It soothes my soul. When I hear it an immediate peace and tranquility just come over me. Doesn't matter how stressed, sad, angry, frustrated I might be, her voice releases it. I can not stay mad when I hear her. Not very many singers can do that to me.

I also picked up some spring while at the store.

I'm anxiously waiting, though, for the daffodils. They should be hitting the local stores soon.

My snowman has a face!

Tommy was sitting on the couch looking elegant last night. I had to take a pic.

Last, but not least, I found this bib in my knitting room. I'd forgotten about it. It's a model one of my employees, Loretta Smith, stitched for me when I had my shop. I think I'll send it along with the baby sweater when the time comes.

That's all for today. Have a good one.

First Snow of the Season

Mobster Spock, and Kirk.

As I type this, there is snow falling outside my living room window. Yes, I said snow.

Winter has arrived. Morgan refuses to get out of bed. I don't blame him.

Snow before November. That is something--------cruel. Rumor has it that it will melt off later. Good news.

I've got a busy day today too. I've got my knitting class this morning. With snow I doubt any one will show up, but I have to be there just in case.

After class I'm taking a few things to the down town Coeur d'Alene Library. They are having a fiber/fabric exhibit in November and I am entering a few things for said exhibit. It was kind of hard to decide what to take down there because most of the really fantastic knitting I've done is no longer in my possession. I'm going to take my Pomatomus socks, a lace mohair scarf, a jacket I machine knit for my daughter several years ago (that hardly got worn but did win best of show at the fair that year), and I'm thinking about one of my bead knitted amulet bags. I'll let the exhibit organizers decide if they want any of them or not.

We had a bit of a chew fest in this house last night.

Mmmm, chews.

Have a good day.

RIP Purple Kitty Mug

It's gonna be one of those days. Last night I accidentally broke my coffee mug. My hand-crafted-by-a-local-artisan-so-it-was-darn-expensive-but-oh-so-cool purple kitty ceramic coffee mug. I've been using that mug for my coffee every morning for years and years. So long I can't remember when I bought it. Sigh. My morning coffee just isn't the same in a Hawaii souvenir mug. I see a trip to the Christmas Craft show in Spokane next November in my future-in hope the artist will be there so I can beg her to make me another one. Chances are slim-that she'll be there......phooey!

It's funny how attached we get to things.

I have been a shamelessly bad girl. I ordered 3 new beading books from Amazon to enhance my library. 3 books. I need more beading books like I need a hole in my head. However, they are all wonderful wonderful books, so I won't be sending them back for a refund.

Seed Bead Fusion: This is a brand new release by Rachel Nelson-Smith. It has her famous Ootheca Cuff bracelet pattern in it. There are projects for both wire and thread. I think it's an important addition to my collection of 3 dimensional beading education. The instructions and diagrams are good, and it is one of those books that gets my creative juices going.

The Beaded Sphere by Judy Walker: I'm not sure why I wanted this book so bad, but I did. I think it was the picture on the cover. And what a cool book it's turned out to be. The author, Judy Walker, takes us step by step in great detail on weaving 3 dimensional stand alone geometric shaped objects, sculpture, as well as jewelry. I am very impressed with how good this book is. Definitely a must in a bead weaving library.

The Art of Beadwork by Valerie Hector. This is a good book for learning about the different types of bead work from around the world-both ancient and modern. There are some wonderful photographs of beaded pieces from all over the world. There are projects in it, but the book is more about how to design your own using various ideas and techniques than just being a book about how to recreate specific projects. A good book for inspiring and releasing the designer in a person.

The week has been busy. I've been trying to organize and clean, as well as get ready to empty the sun room so we can rip out the carpet in there and lay more bamboo. I've been boxing up books (my knitting library is in there) and nicknacks, and all the stuff on/in my desk. We have a LOT of stuff! I need to get rid of some of it, and get some cabinets or something to keep the rest of it. I want so bad to have an organized house, but organizing it, then maintaining that organization is one of those things I am not good at.

The padding for our new area rug arrived Thursday, so we've laid it all down in the living room.

This is the matching runner between the couch and the dining room.

This is a close up of one of the moose on the rug.

The boys got all excited when I was taking the pictures. They wanted their picture taken too, so I obliged.

Morgan

Tommy

I've got a lot to do today, so I better get busy. Have a good one.

Postponed

Today's appointment with my doctor has been postponed until next Monday. So the wait continues on the status of my blood clotting disorder. That's okay. I can wait.

The weather has been beautiful, but tonight will be the end of it. I expect to be getting snow by the weekend. They're saying rain on the news, but that's for Spokane who's temps at night will barely be above freezing. So ours will definitely be below freezing. I am going to mentally prepare myself for it so I don't get depressed. At least we know spring is here. My crocuses, daffodils, and tulips all sprouted yesterday, as well as the buttercups being in full bloom. Get a little sun around here and everything pops out in the open. I saw kids walking home from school today wearing shorts, tank tops, and flip flops. Now, it's been warm, but I don't think it's been warm enough for that! Kids....

I started a knew knitting project. I have some Juaquetta yarn.

Juaquetta is a local spinner who makes some very interesting yarns. Most of it is bulky weight, but it has lots of interesting textures, and wonderful color combinations. I have 4 skeins of a brown and teal colorway with bits of purple called Wildwood that I've been wanting to make into a vest. I need a mindless project. You know, something easy to take to knit group meetings. I picked a pattern which also requires a solid color for contrast. At first I thought I'd use that teal Brown Sheep stuff I bought a couple weeks ago. I knit a good 3 inches of it, but it's such a wonderful shade of teal screaming at me that it wants to be a cable sweater. I finally frogged it. I'm back to figuring out a solid contrast. I'd like to use brown. I spent some time digging in my considerable stash yesterday looking for brown. I don't have any. Once again, I have to buy more yarn. All that yarn in my stash and there's never the right color! Maybe I'll rethink the pattern I want to do with this stuff.

Tommy says "Mmmmmm, sunshine"

Good night.

Tommy Gets His Comeuppance

So, yesterday morning I'm drinking my coffee, checkin' the email, and doing the usual 'getting myself to wake up' routine. Sweet Hubby is in his favorite chair, laptop and Tommy in the lap. Tommy is snoozing.

From the side of my eye there is movement. I turn and look. A moose is just a few feet from the living room window, looking at me.

Me: Oh, whoa! Where's my camera? Look at that?

Sweet Hubby: Look at what?

Me: There's a moose right there.

Sweet Hubby: Your camera is right here on the table.

I grab it, stand up, and Tommy raises his head. Then it hits me-and before I can finish this thought: "Oh no! The doggy door is open!" Tommy has shot out the door and is in the front yard doing his best rendition of a large pack of Rottweilers protecting their territory. I panicked. My brain just froze as I watched it all out the living room window. I had no idea what to do. This moose was not gonna back down. No way. No how. My doggy is dead meat!

He's barking his head off, and attempts to nip the moose's leg. The moose takes umbrage.

It charges at Tommy. The front hooves come up....I wince-here it comes....my doggy is gettin' stomped! Aaaauughhh.....

Much to my total surprise and shock--Tommy yelped, turn, and ran screaming all the way to the back yard and in the doggy door. The moose chased him the whole way.

I could not stop laughing. The truth is out Tommy!

I am so glad he ran, or this would be an obituary post.

The offended moose
(My apologies to the animal rights folks, but wouldn't he look great wrapped up and in my freezer?)

I have proof positive that Doug is the best and sweetest hubby in the universe.

Just delivered this morning. My favorite color even! I'm so full of the warm fuzzies I think I'll burst!

Have a great day.

It's Raining!

Wow. I got up this morning and there was no new snow. In fact, it rained all night last night. It's actually above freezing today. I am SO relieved! Now, what to do about the lake in the front yard...

Sweet Hubby is up on the roof now shoveling off the remaining snow. He moved snow all day yesterday cos we got up to a foot of new stuff the night before. I have felt so bad for him cos his whole Christmas break has been about moving snow. He says he is ready to go back to work tomorrow.

While Sweet Hubby moved snow, I did house work, and knitted.

I made some very small progress on my Bayerische sock. The twisted rib section went fine. However, the first three rows of the stitch pattern is another story. I spend 3 hours on those first 3 rows. I kept screwing them up and having to tink back to fix. I'm hoping that after the first pattern repeat it gets easier. In the meantime, I'm gathering all the little things that help me in a situation like this and using them. The stitch markers have been a huge help, though I don't like using them with yarn and needles this small cos they can mess up my gauge. I will just have to be extra careful.

Word to the wise-this is not a pattern that can be worked on in a hurry. One MUST have a nice relaxing alcoholic drink (or 2 or 3) and absolutely NO distractions (like laundry to do, and furkids).

Because of the huge amount of new snow yesterday morning, the boys decided they weren't going outside anymore. I left the room and returned to pee and poo all over the dining room carpet. I lost it and screamed at them to "KENNEL UP!" A small miracle happened.

Kennel up means to go lie down in your bed. I've been working on Tommy for over 2 years to teach him that. I know how to train dogs. I have had dogs in my past who won awards for the tricks I trained them to do.

Morgan has always known what kennel up means. One time of showing him and handing him a cookie when he did it was all it took. Tommy, on the other hand, usually stands there with a vacant look on his face and a wagging tail. Never in my life have I met such a dumb dog. He just can't seem to learn things very well. So over and over, day after day, for over 2 years I've been showing him "kennel up" and giving him a cookie when he jumps into his bed.

Tommy kenneled up.

In fact, I called him to me and told him to kennel up again. He did it! The best present he could have given me. All was forgiven for the messes in the dining room.

Have a great day.

Kiwi Green Stulpen

They're done, blocked, and washed. Just need to be wrapped now. I had to soak and wash them twice to get all the coffee out. I got a bit worried for a bit there. Thankfully, it all came out the second time. I've come up with, in my opinion, a clever way to display them for a photo. I made a model of my hand with cardboard. Took all of 10 minutes (most of that time spent looking for a piece of cardboard to use). Now you can see how they look on the hand, and off.

Kiwi Green Stulpen

Pattern: Stulpen by Petra

Yarn:
Opal Uni Solid 4ply sock yarn

Content: 75% superwash Wool/ 25% Nylon

Colorway: #1266 Kiwi Green

Needles: Size 2 Addi Circulars.

Ca
st on: November 28, 2008
Completed: December 4, 2008

Comments: I love these. They look so elegant, but they really were very simple to make. I did make a change. The pattern calls for sport weight yarn. I used fingering weight sock yarn. So, if you wish to do the same, here's what I did.

I cast on 72 sts instead of 60. In the chart, I added 2 purls and 1 knit on each side. I started with Knit 1 on each round. This centered everything nicely. I then followed all the rest of the instructions as written except for where I put the thumb increases. You put them after stitch 36, and before stitch 39 for the right glove For the left its before stitch 1 and after stitch 70. It worked out perfect!

Sweet Hubby asked me to take some pics of the boys by the Christmas tree. Morgan cooperated quite nicely.

Tommy, on the other hand....

I gave up trying to get him to sit by the tree. He was just too excited about getting his picture taken. So I tried to get him to sit in his bed on a chair (in hopes he'd calm down a bit). I got him posed all perfect. Snapped the picture, and got this.

Umm...Tommy?

Several tries later, he finally settled down, and even gave me a sweet smile.

Silly boy!

Have a great day.
