WIP Wednesday 11/10/2010

I am having a lot of problems with the laptop today. I clicked on a Google search link this morning looking for a particular beading pattern and a malicious fake 'virus detector' started to immediately download itself onto my hard drive. I stopped it within seconds (closing my web browser and whatnot) but now my real virus detector has been disabled and I can't seem to get it to open (I may have to reinstall it-sigh). It's also slowed things down considerably. I don't know who it is that writes these types of hacking programs, but I wish upon them a serious case of agonizingly painful unhealable boils.

It's WIP Wednesday. Here is a pic of the fingerless mitts I'm making along with the class I'm teaching. (Here's hoping this picture thing works)

It needs a thumb. I decided to do the cuff in the fuzzy yarn, and the hand in a plain solid because I don't have quite enough yardage to do the whole thing fuzzy. I'm short about 23 yards. I know I've got more of this yarn somewhere in the stash, but heck if I'm gonna go spend a couple hours trying to find it right now. Besides, this way is looking pretty cool.

And I got a couple rounds done on this sock today.

I actually had quite a bit more done, then discovered I'd screwed it up and had to frog back-mostly because I can't find my notes so I tried to figure out what I was doing and guessed wrong.

I got a few rows done on the Teal cardigan too, but not enough to be worth taking a picture of it.

It really hasn't been a very productive knitting week so far.

  1. I read somewhere that the coders for antivirus programs also write viruses for job security.

Love the blue of your sock.

  2. Oh no! I hope you get the virus thing figured out! That happened to my husband awhile ago on an older computer and he decided to just scrap it. It wasn't worth getting it up and running again, but his fully blue screened!

I too, love the blue of the sock. How fun is that glove with the fuzzy yarn! I can't imagine how hard it is to knit with though!
