I finished the back of the Lobster cardigan this morning. I put it on stitch holders after taking this pic. The instructions say to bind off, but I like to join my shoulders with the 3 needle bind off, so I will leave them open for now.

I really really like the fabric of this project.

Considering how gray and dull it looks outside right now, the bright colors are soothing to my eyes. It looks so soft and snuggly too.

I'm also enjoying how quickly it's knitting up. A good break before I take on something more challenging -like that Alice Starmore sweater I want to finish. I am going to do that. But first I need to find the yarn. I tucked it away somewhere in the house but I don't remember where, so it will take a bit of searching. The pieces that are done are in a bag in my closet. I put it there so I'd see it every day when I get dressed, making me feel guilty. Eventually I'd finish it with it nagging me like that. ;-) Ah self, I do know thee.

Speaking of gray and dull outside, it is snowing today. We're supposed to get a lot of it. I didn't go to Yarnies for two reasons.

1. I didn't want to deal with the roads. They are bad today.

2. Andrea couldn't get to work because the roads haven't been plowed where she lives yet, so the store is closed.

It's a good day to stay indoors and knit. I think I'll make soup for dinner. I wonder if I have the makings for Potato Soup? I'll have to go rummage around in the pantry.

  2. Your sweater is really lovely! I like the pattern very much. I went searching through Google for a copy or a kit but couldn't find one. We are having a major blizzard, too! I got a lot of "finishing" done today which makes me happy! lol
